No matter what I tell myself, I can not prevent my skin from getting chills with just the thought of spiders!!! Especially one of this size with all those coarse hairs, yuck!
Very evocative euphemism, "cat sick". Brits have a nice slang, even if you skip the rhyming stuff. "I got pissed and was sick in the bin" means "I got drunk and vomited into the trashcan."
