I realllllllly don't like the new system. But part of that is I'm just used to the old one. This blog entry does help me get past that a bit.

Hey awesome article - i actually saw it on <a class="user" href="http://wdclub.com/MarketPromotion/Advanced_use_of_Google_Analytics_and_the_new_interface/">http://wdclub.com/MarketPromotion/Advanced_use_of_Google_Analytics_and_the_new_interface/</a>Apparently its like digg but for internet business. Analytics RULE!

Maybe it's just me but it seems like you can just about track anything with google analytics. You just set up tracking code on each page/link/jsaction and then google gets all the data. Is it really that much more complicated?

most of the examples in that post are achieved using filters instead of modifying your page code ;) Also, if you want to track all outbound links, consider using a modified version of this wordpress plugin: <a class="user" href="http://cavemonkey50.com/code/google-analyticator/">http://cavemonkey50.com/code/google-analyticator/</a>And if you want to track full referrals, the trick is to store the full Referral URL into the UserDefined variable by using a filter ;)
