boston.com — An event at a Massachusetts gun club turned tragic today when an 8-year-old boy accidentally shot himself in the head and later died. "Witnesses state that he was shooting the weapon down range when the force of the weapon made it travel up and back toward his head, where he suffered the injury," the police statement read.

These events are very fun and I have been to a few with my sons. Not sure why you think it is sick or whatever but my kids enjoy the gun shows and automatic weapons shoot.I was an 8yo when I first shot an UZI but it was only a semi. This was a freak accident I have never ever heard of it in all my life. I have seen hundreds of 8-9-10 yo fire these weapons. I am sure it was statically many more times dangerious for the child to make the three hour drive than to shoot the gun. Sometimes lightning strikes. It is great fun to go to these events. Item after item is being outlawed in our new bubble wrapped society.

I'm with you ProUSA. Guns are guns, I do think that full auto has its limits in close situations. I am a piss poor shot also so I (would) prefer sawed off shotgun for in the house(also I wear contacts so hey someone is breaking in let me get my contacts in would not work out). I do not need to aim or even be able to see the bugger just know his general direction. No need to garenteee a kill you know I am a softy like that but a shot with one of those suckers will guarantee he isn't going to be aiming at anything. But alas the most effective weapons for defending your home are banned. Now my wife she is a sure shot and good eyesight so a .38 is just fine.

Only the people can take away our 2nd amendment rights. If the goverment does it of thier own free will then that is tyranny and will almost certainly cause another civil war.

my bad, i meant class III. then its got to be pre 86 and you still need to buy a tax stamp from the BATF. thats a fed law and it cant be superceded by state. im not saying it isnt superceded by state and local regs, it is in california where i live.
