Why? because google is hungry for the kind of data that analytics lets them gather on your users - and they are willing to build out tools for you to view it too in order for them to get their hands on it. 24% premium on the shares isn't too bad...

Actually, Omniture *can* track browsing within a Flash file by using their ActionSource code. This is special Actionscript code designed to trigger Omniture data requests and is embedded inside the SWF file.
