I don't see how this is possible with the current SDK. It's almost as though Adobe is announcing this information simply to force Apple's hand and reach an agreement for licensing Flash on the iPhone.

It's not really just Adobe's doing (I believe it's a licensing problem between Adobe and Opera).

would you like to have some advertising on the ever so expensive device with the tiny browser with not much spare screen space? Isnt it great when you pay a premium and have to be bombarded with that s**t anyways. and somehow i doubt apple would allow you to have an "ad blocker" even if someone does write it with the sdk.

I've never heard of a Flash dev getting 120k, but I don't know salaries because development isn't really my industry. I'm not bitter at all, I'm just wary of what could cause a slide in standards compliance. Nothing as content-static as Flash could be the future of anything. I'm familiar with the swf format being open and documented, I was speaking of Adobe being one singular entity (and a bastardly one at that) being allowed to lead the way with it.
