It would be a lot harder than you think. It isn't like the developers just have to ./configure, make, then send out a binary. MacOS X Development is a lot different than Linux.

I'd not risk buying Photoshop for Windows unless I had a copy of Windows in the first place. Wine isn't *that* good.

VM performance is s**t compared to Wine. Wine has performance but not compatibility. VMware has compatibility with terrible performance.

Honestly, I haven't tried CS3, so I can't say how much of an improvement it is over its predecessors. But is this even that big of deal? I mean most previous versions of Photoshop already run fine in WINE.
