I really don't understand why windows really needs them... On a mac the ugly boxed icons are always in view, in windows you hide them in the start menus.
Eh. After replacing all my icons, these just don't do it for me. They are only slightly less boring and out of place than the plain ones. It's not the designer's fault, though. I just don't like Adobe's new branding.Dugg for effort.

the default cs3 icons provide an odd weight in the dock compared to the rest of the icons. the gloss and round corners are much welcome
