What I admire most about AC is how much s**t he has to take sometimes, yet he never takes his eyes off the goal. He's just a normal, average-intelligence guy who does extraordinary things with his life, and it has always seemed to me that a big part of his success has been his ability to weather criticism.The contract sounds pretty one sided, but how does it compare to other media contracts? Does NPR own the material Ira Glass creates for This American Life? Does The Discovery Channel own the logo and all the episodes of Mythbusters created by M5 Industries? I would assume so. Is the compensation from Podshow fair? I have no idea, but I haven't heard any complaints either. Adam has said in the past--more than once--that if anyone has a problem with stuff like this, he's willing to discuss it. Instead, I guess for a lot of people it's more fun to get together and use him like a f**king piñata.

It's a contract - no-one is being forced to have AC promote them against their will as far as I can see.
