blogs.zdnet.com — Microsoft may be reticent to provide a list of what?s not working on Vista, but that isn?t stopping others from going public with their findings. The folks over on IEXBeta.com have published as a Wiki a list of applications that work (mostly) well; work somewhat less well and don?t work at all with Windows Vista RC 1.

they forgot that vista doesn't run with vista...I messed around with it for the past two days... after reinstalling it twice and repairing it more times than i can count. I just went back into OS X and I'm happy again. (no, not an intel mac.. hackintosh)

Wow. I've been running Vista since 5270 (December CTP), Only OS since 5465 (The build after beta 2), and I've only had to do a repair once or twice, and only with builds predating 5472.

You guys haven't been following have you?Microsoft released Vista RC1, but didn't intend for it to be an RC. It is basically meant to be a "beta 3," but Microsoft doesn't want to admit that.

Not too bad considering how different Vista is compared to XP. If the list is this short, really who cares?

No surprises with old software not working. Upgrades will be a necessity for Vista.

I just have one thing on my personal Vista wish list: break all compatibility with all Symantec products. :)

No news here. This is just a list of the top-ten 'most poorly programmed' apps for Windows. Vista or no Vista, it's still the same.

Perhaps people should wait until Windows Vista is released and the let the vendors have a chance to update their product before they complain their Windows XP applications don't work on it. But then you wouldn't be able to spam about how bad Windows Vista is on Digg.
