@regayaSo true. vi is an essential skill for unix admins. It's everywhere. like I wrote above, even if you find yourself on a WAY old system that doesn't have vi, you should still be able to use the same commands to hack your way through ed.Emacs is a fine editor, but going on a crusade over it does you no service. That is like refusing to learn how to drive a stick shift because you prefer an automatic. One day you'll find yourself stranded.
