news.com.com— Logitech's new MX Air Mouse doesn't need to sit on desk to work, you can wave it around--just like the Ninetendo Wii controller.

If only had Logitech had marketed this as the ultimate mouse for the iphone. The Apple faithful would have lined up for days to get one.@Logitech, if you'd like to avoid these missed opportunities in the future, you can hire me as your vp of marketing for only 1 meeleon dollars/year.
I have a wired Gyration mouse that's gotta be 10-12 years old. They used to have actual spinning gyroscopes in them to detect motion, although I suspect that's changed.... This is a very, very old concept. We've got one in our conference room at my job, but everybody who uses it just puts it on the table and uses it like a regular mouse. Using it in the air becomes tiresome and kind of annoying after a while. I can't say why... it just does.

Commercial (apparently it's being marketed to 17year old rap-consumers. Epic fail from marketing department!)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NYAd3kEShI
