smspillaz.wordpress.com — To name a few: better KDE 4 integration, several magnification options (magnifying glass, anyone?), a "showmouse" plugin, a Rubik's cube, a maze and extensive Wiimote integration. Lots of screenshots and videos included.

Why won't they release a repository for the Ubuntu users. They will be able to reach out to the masses.

Works flawless on my geforce 3 ti200. I'm not even going to try vista.

I used the cube - completely unintentionally - when a girl was looking over my shoulder. Her reaction? "ooo... is this Vista? I keep hearing about it..." (Oh, irony.)

Nope, it's really completely random what they block and what they allow. For example: they block blogspot and wordpress, but not typepad. Feedburner is blocked, but google reader and all my rss feeds work fine. MySpace is touch and go, but facebook never has a problem. BBC doesn't work, but Digg and Reddit are fine. It's really a mindf**k, and things change all the time. It makes it doubly frustrating because I strongly feel that the government simply has no need to censor the internet - people in China (on average) are REALLY apathetic politically. There's no civil society; people have the attitude "well, I'm just a cab driver, what does the government have to do with me?"I digress... thanks for the link. It's good that they're aiming for better KDE integration; once 4.1 comes out I want to give it a whirl.

I have used linux for the past 3 years or so. I've tried several distros and I agree, for people like you or me the defaults are fine, but when you work supporting tech for a living, you realize how *simple* things for us are insurmountable for other people. Ubuntu is close, but it still has a little way to go before it reaches the usability of say, OS X.

i really enjoy all of the work they're doing, and while i agree some of the plugins seem a bit frivilous, i think it'd be useful to think outside of the box -- what might their functionality be implemented in, looking towards the future of course.
