latimes.com— If Al Qaeda strikes the West in the coming months, it's likely the mastermind will be a stocky Egyptian explosives expert with two missing fingers.

Who cares what a few lone crazies say? Just have the CIA not train them to blow up crap all the time and most of our problems would disappear. Hell, I know people in the US that think the UN is taking over, but that doesn't mean that most people believe it.
"If Al Qaeda strikes the West in the coming months"... why in the coming months? Do they know something we don't? Or is it just more sensationalist boogeyman tripe?
And what good has our legal system done in the fight against Al Qaeda? Prosecuting spies is difficult enough, let alone terrorists. But that's beside the point - it's a well acknowledged fact that Bin Laden and his buddies came up with the name back in the late 80s/early 90s. Not only that, but they weren't even on the CIA's radar till the early to mid 90s and whilst there was indirect CIA support for his band of foreign fighters in the 80s, it was just that - indirect (through the Paks who actually dished the cash and weapons out).At least that's what you hear from the many respected intelligence experts and former intel officers who've written on the subject.

You can't defend someone lying to make a point when you rail against it on a daily basis.
