Hey there-You should check with the University of AK. they used to have a bone marrow transplant program (my father was in it) also, check with the <a class="user" href="http://www.multiplemyeloma.org/">http://www.multiplemyeloma.org/</a> they may be able to refer you to donor banks! Ok well ive been thinking about it and living in asia isnt a big problem if hes going to die. How can i get a test to see if i match this guy? If its a match, im sure arrangements can be made.

ANYONE CAN MATCH. That's not well-communicated, but it's true.They're focusing on the odds, though. The best bet is a family member. After that it's ethnicity. From there, the odds drop significantly. But you could still match even if you're white. But if you *are* Asian, given the odds, it's a very good idea to register!If you are joining the National Bone Registry Program (or whatever it's called these days), you may not match this person, but possibly someone else down the line. So it's not just this one man's life... it's many others! A good program.-Pie
