lifehacker.com — Despite the fact that BitTorrent has been around for a good 6 years now, the lightning fast file sharing protocol hasn't completely taken off in the mainstream. Since we post a decent amount about BitTorrent around here, we figured it was just time we put out a beginner's guide to BitTorrent.

In summation, find the torrent on The Pirate Bay, use uTorrent to download it. Torrents work by dividing up the file into lots of little pieces, which everyone shares with each other, which means that one can start sharing before they have finished downloading the file. Yay.

Wow, still a lotta n00bs out there I suppose. Just cause u download doesn't mean ur a pirate, if you get pre'd stuff and up it to others who dont have it yet, that makes you a pirate, KEEP ON PIRATING YARGHHH!!!

Holy s**t, I was just reading this submission, when I decided to check Demonoid and registrations are open. I just signed up. So yeah, just a little heads up.

Demonoid lets you download 3 torrents a day without being registered.There is a limit to the date or something though.. either you cant get new ones.. or older ones.. i honestly don't remember.
