Well thats s**tty. But seriously,it sounds like our s**tty hospitals combined with weak immune systems and a severe overuse of antibiotics has grown another monster. Maybe the nasty idiots spreading disease can go die and leave us hand washers alone for a change. I wish the assh**es who dont wash their hand after s**tting would DIAF.
I have never heard of vancomycin being used after dental work, and the only reason you would even take any antibiotics after dental work was if the work was surgical or after any type of work if you have mitral valve prolapse.
My symptoms are in keeping with a sever C. Diff. infection. Furthermore, I was caring for a patient with C. Diff. very soon before the symptoms arose and the characteristic smell and color of C. Diff. were present. There is no doubt in my mind it was C. Diff. I don't know what you mean about it not taking hold without antibiotic therapy unless you're talking about a hyperinfection.

It also hasn't helped that drug companies haven't been researching new antibiotics.
