computers.net — Reports are coming in of aching backs, sore shoulders, and something now called "Wii elbow." See what people are saying about the intense exertion associated with playing games. "It's harder than playing basketball" and "I had trouble putting my shirt on" [the next morning] among other quotes.

(sigh) Stretch before and after you play and dont play for more than 40 minutes to 1 our without a 10 - 15 minute break. Sad to say most people playing video games, for excessive periods of time, generally do not have the endurance for physical activity. If you want to play for endless hours without injury then work up to it physically. (end sigh)

not a lawsuit over fitness, one because of RSI. Totally different things. Not matter if you are fit. Repeated motions, even using a mouse could cause. But here you have a new device in which kids will play for hours on end that WILL cause RSI. Just saying ow long before someone sues. I hope Nintendo have printed enough warnings with the manual to cover their A's/

I find it sad when people complain about having to exert themselves at all. God forbid people actually get up and move around once in a while. Plus, you don't HAVE to make exaggerated movements. I can't understand why people can't grasp that. I feel that more of America needs something like the Wii so they actually get a bit of exercise.

"just what you need after a hard day a work, a work out."I know! God forbid you should try to be in shape!

Too many out of shape people in this country. A little exercise, even if it's only coming from the Wii, is not going to hurt em....

'It's harder than playing basketball'thats a complete lie. all you have to do is move the controller. not actually swing it to the point that you're shoulder pops out of its socket.

I think the wii is great, it is doing what I have been saying for years that needed to be done, to include something that makes folks have to move to make the game play. Once folks are no longer sore, they can add ankle weights and wrist weights. I do not think us overweight folks are whining, just noting that we are feeling sore, I been playing the boxing alot, and its just as good if not better than getting on the treadmill at the gym. The best part is you will spend hours playing.. I even know folks in shape who were a bit sore after doing the bowling. I really think they should incorporate this into the huge multiplayer game worlds like WOW nad Everquest 2, where to get around you have to stand up and jog in place. and swing a actual nerf wand to fight etc.. put ankle remotes in use so it can see when th eperson is running etc...Some may say its not enough, but to me anything that gets kids/adults and seniors up and moving and having a good time, is a good thing, sure its not the same as the gym, but any activity is better than no activity.
