f**k this noise, i'm taking it back for the millenials! Except for that emo bulls**t which i was fortunately a little too old for when it became so massively popular, i think millenials are more informed, more capable, and more open-minded than any of the previous generations. The greatest generation was pretty great, but they had too many kids. Baby boomers were a massive disappointment, and Generation X suffered from a victim mindset. As for the millenials:Sexual liberation and the disappearance of taboos are noble goals, and once the initial frenzy dies down, we will all be happier for it. As for music, where does the electronic scene fit in? I grew up in raves and underground venues, not the dark corners of my room cutting myself. Also, with the advent of internet what was yours is now also ours.I just hope we manage to handle the ADD.Those Gen-Z better get off my cyber-lawn...
You have your generations mixed up.Your thinking of Generation Z which was born around 2000. They are now in elementary school/middle school.Generation X/Millennials were born in the '80s and early '90s. Are now in high school/college/workforce.
Chad. You assume many things.1: That I'm a hipster. I make fun of hipsters.2: I associate the 80's with primarily negative things.I mostly don't like it for the horrible synthpop music.
@jinxbands in the rock genre dont really use autotune as muchand really do play their instruments...the only modifications done are mainly to the hardcore bands to keep perfect timing on the drums.
agreed. i was born in nov 89but consider myself a product of the 90'snot out of shame or embarrassment over crappy 80's synth popbut because all my childhood memories r from the 90's.and also, 80's fashion fkn sucked.

I think the first modern format reality show besides prank shows was The Real World in 1992. That's definitely Gen X territory.
