siliconera.com — Forget those huge multimillion dollar development teams, the Nintendo Wii is so cost effective to develop for one person can make a game for the system. The one-man computer game development company Nissimo release a Wii launch title.

@fldash:Yes, I read that. How, exactly is that a "discount". As I said, this is a $5-10 game. At most, it's a $20 game which is the standard price for casual games. I'm sorry if you don't understand the market.

The future of gaming is here today... the Nintendo Wii... and it sports an unheard of 733 MHz processor and 88 MB of memory... Nintendo says good graphics and powerful processing aren't needed to have fun playing games... but they recommend upgrading your Gamecube (it's graphics aren't good enough for fun)

@meatmcguffin, hlidotbeOkay, lets make it a contest then. ;) I welcome you both to Sweden so you can meet our 25% VAT. (On most things.)Quote from Wikipedia:"In Sweden, VAT is split into three levels: 25% for most things, 12% for foods and 6% for printed matter."

I don’t have a Wii, but i do have a PS3…I’ve played the Flash version and i find this game pretty fun. It’s almost as good as Lumines on PSP.Although 60 bux is a bit exagerated pricy. But its a fun game to have… the creator should publish his game on small portable console too (DS lite, PSP)I too wonder how much money he made.

Actually, Nintendo mentioned that they might open the Wii Shop for developersAnyways, the whole point of this article is that the Wii is easy (read: cheap) to develop for, which means that we get more complete (and less buggy) games for a better price. This means that if they do allow downloading game like XBL, then the Wii should see content that is on the same level or better that XBL with cheaper prices. The 360 isn't too hard to develop for because the design mirrors PC design. The PS3 is notoriously difficult to program (due to the Cell architecture and very weak and expensive dev-kits), so I don't see that service gaining the respect paid to XBL any time soon.
