This reminds me of something we were taught in the South African Army (many moons ago) on how to spot a camouflaged sniper: 1. First you locate where the last round of fire was coming from. 2. Concentrate on that spot. 3. Relax and let you mind wander. 4. Slowly let your eyes drift off the spot, ever so slightly . 5. Repeat the process.Surprisingly enough, it works almost without fail. Seems like the mind has this ability to recognize something on the fringes of awareness, if we are willing to let it intrude upon our consciousness.

I certainly believe in the ideas he mentions. I'd point out that this implies a meta-controller and free will. The mind is a fascinating thing.
