forum.insanelymac.com — InsanelyMac traces the history of how OS X was hacked to run on PCs. "The files for a complete OS X installation were now available to anyone - the trick would be creating a working copy. A community was beginning to form, and it would only be a matter of days until the beauty of Aqua first graced the monitor of a PC."

After success installing OSx86 on my PC, I start to think maybe one day I will buy a Core Duo Mac and have XP running under Mac VMware

I also use Mac OS X on my HP dv5000 laptop, and it works perfectly, except for the dreaded ATI Xpress 200M video card, which doesn't support QE/CI yet. I would gladly buy an iMac or a Macbook Pro, but where I live they cost almost twice what they cost in the US. So I guess I'll keep my Hackintosh some more...

I have to say thank to those who's work made it easy to install OSX on my inspiron. Yes, many people have problems with the ethics of it all- The only thing I can say in all honesty is that OSX runs better than windows on any x86hardware i have used it on. It's pretty, easy to learn, and stable. I will definitely purchase a MAC sometime in the future, but in all honesty i'd like to a version released just for ibm hardware to be able to dual boot. I got a lot of good info as wellas help reading the forums.

I think one of the biggest catalyst for hard core geek PC switchers in the last year can be directed at "Jas". This guy should be getting kick backs from Apple. One good install on a sony laptop and I was hooked. 3 Macbook pros later, and here I am.

You can use Parallels, as I said before.

Part 2 is when they sell the site and make off with the cash.(Check the story about the site being sold for what I'm refering to.)

Can you update with the Jas ISO? I wanna download the 10.4.7 and try it out, to see if I should get a Mac (yes, this is helping Mac) but I would like to upgrade to 10.4.8 and see what I'm getting myself into. Is there even a big difference? I looked around online, but could not find an answer to this queston.
