maps.grida.no — The twin role played by the skin ? protection from excessive UV radiation and absorption of enough sunlight to trigger the production of vitamin D ? means that people living in the lower latitudes, close to the Equator, with intense UV radiation, have developed darker skin to protect them from the damaging effects of UV radiation.

"i'm pretty sure black people came first and we got lighter as we moved north"So moving north caused us to lose our rhythm and ability to jump?

Yep, the indentured laborers brought to Guyana were pretty much from the Canton province in China, or from all over India. Never disputed that at all. :) I was just saying that my direct parental ancestry is half Sri Lankan (from the Tamil ethnic group) and half Guyanese. One thing you learn after reading genetics books is that you can look at the human race two ways: either we're all a bunch of mixed-ethnicity mutts, or we're all one inbred family as the result of coming from a genetic bottleneck in East Africa roughly 59,000-years-ago.

Inaccurate.Inuits and Maori's seems to have just been omitted even though they are native to their regions. And the banding across Australia seems just as likely to be based on it looking pretty as real data.

Ever heard of the World Bank (Though I wouldn't necessarily call it a "white" organization, but an organaztion influenced by US and European elites)?

Inuit are indiginous and they are way darker than that.

I would have put Church's Chickens in the dark areas, video games and hello kitty in the Asian areas, and landscaping trucks in the tan areas

my dad is from bangladesh he qualifies to be about the second highest colour there. ive seen other people from bangladesh that he knows that are extremely black. this map has pretty much the whole indian area as being pretty pale. the indigenous peoples of that region are at least the second highest and in a lot of areas are the darkest square there. same goes for australia and the aborigines.
