At some point, boredom sets in and I do something else. About a week or two later, I start planning changes and if it really bugs me enough, I'll do a redesign. But usually, I just hit a balance point where I mentally just say "I'm done."

Quote a price for a job based on how long you anticipate it will take. Work on it until you run out of paid hours... unless you're a registered charity and are happy to work for nothing. Simple.
