The current population of the world is about 6.8 billion people., and Facebook currently has more than 350 million members. Facebook is adding 700,000 people every day. So if population growth were to level out, Facebook might be able to register every single human being in the world, some time in the 2030's or 2040's.It's something to shoot for. Imagine, being able to see what every single human being looks like wearing sunglasses and trying to look cool while holding a cellphone camera at arm's length and taking a picture of himself.http://www.facebook.com/press/info.php?statisticshttp://www.census.gov/main/www/popclock.html

For comparison: In January Facebook had 150 million members. Currently they have over 300 million and should easily hit 350 before the end of this year if they haven't already. That is an average increase of over 16.5 million members per month, almost 600,000 per day, but their rate of growth is increasing, so 700,000 is not hard to imagine.http://www.facebook.com/press/info.php?statistics# ...
