I wonder how many of these are "original". So how many words are original and have the same meaning. When I write a weblog I have to choose tags for a posting. If I want to standardize my tags (since I want to link to other persons who write about the same thing) I have to invent the tags that typically best cover the posting to be of value of that tagging community on the word (uhm) "zebra". However "zebra" could be used by biologists or by persons who buy a gadget names "zebra". So what I wonder is : how many same-concept-used potential tag based communities are there currently? What are the amount of tags we currently have over all weblogs and systems that use tags? Can these tags be used to cover object based services and content which can interact with other objects using the same tag running under a different uri?

Words average out to about five or six letters long so i would hazard a guess at somewhere between 500,000,000,000,000 and 600,000,000,000,000
