Thank God? One -- if it crashed you probably could have done a hard reset to get back up and running. Second, you can always restore the original firmware by plugging your iPhone in and selecting "Restore iPhone" from iTunes.

Not necessarily. You should still be able to restore your settings from the last backup. Even if you can't, it is trivial to resync your ITunes, contacts and bookmarks. It's more or less automatic. You may have to re select your wallpaper, but if thats to much work, live w/o the hacks.
yes. are you trying to log in with a .mac account login? the rumor i've heard is that although a .mac login should work through aim (it does in every other IM app i try), it's not working in either MobileChat or ApolloIM.
It will not connect for me. I tried my AIM SN and my AOL SN and it just keeps saying "Please Wait" and "Connecting" at the bottom. I tried both WiFi and the Edge network. Nothing... Anyone have the same problem/any suggestions?
The UI looks like a developer created it. The only reason it's pretty is because it's on the iPhone.It doesn't: tell you what screen name you've logged in with, show your current status (icon), show status text of the user or the buddies, "Go Away" is hilarious as the label of a function, there's no save password checkbox, the conversation is harder to follow at a glance because things don't line up, there's no buddy icons, and that's just a few of the problems I see looking at the pictures. Let's hope they get it together and make this into a real quality product.Have to get this on the iphone and see whether connectivity issues ruin the experience (can you receive IMs and be notified while it's suspended in the background? what if you get a phone call?)

I hear you... adium for os x (which uses pidgin source) still doesn't have it either. I am sick of having to use two different IM programs.

Although this is MUCH prettier than Apollo, its stability is near non existent on 1.1.2.It has a lot of promise tho..

AIM app crashes almost everytime for me on my 3G. It just goes black and the the home screen appears. I would call that a crash.
