gizmodo.com — According to a MacBlogz source, AT&T's upcoming 3G iPhone tethering plan will run $30 a month over existing subscriptions and have a 5GB cap. That sounds about right to us, as the plan is identical to that which AT&T already offers to Blackberry users.

Yea dumb ass, you got it... I guess your one of the dumb s**ts that is paying AT&T all that money... Ha ha ha ha.

No you fail because you don't want to pay for any of that!Create your own wireless company and make your own device that meets those requirements and then get back to us and let us know how it turned out.

I'm sorry you are an idiot. I replied to this post using my phone tethered to my laptop through bluetooth and standard windows mobile internet sharing. It was easy. I have been doing it for over a year. Next time keep your thoughts to yourself when you don't know what you are talking about.Try again moron.

Man, I hate phone companies and their amazing amounts of bulls**t... >_<What I'd really be interested to know, though, is what data voice calling takes up. It would be nice to put "450 minutes" in a purely data perspective.

If it's going to be that expensive, f**k it! AT&T still hasn't got their 3G network up to par with their lying advertisements. In the meantime, I'll be damned in hell if I will pay them another $30 to allow tethering. Those shysters already charge too much for the iPhone data plan. I will just go to the nearest wi-fi hotspot or limp along on AT&T's shoddy 3G network using my iPhone. Why don't consumers band together and fight this s**t? Does everyone just enjoy taking it up the ass from A&T and the other lying, cheating providers? Get your lube out! This one's gonna be rough.

Had they picked a much better phone than the HTC Touch, then maybe. But they didn't. I checked out the G1, and I found that it lacked a lot of the polish and ease of the iPhone. Those things count a lot to end users.

PdaNet ftw! I used to have to create a ssh tunnel to my iPhone and set the socks5 proxy on my Safari, but PdaNet took that extra step out.I'd also recommend installing "Backgrounder" from Cydia. That allows you to run apps on your iPhone in the background so you can open other apps while PdaNet (or almost any app for that matter) is running.
