spamdailynews.com — "More than just threatening individuals' privacy, AT&T's apparent choice to give the government secret, direct access to millions of ordinary Americans' Internet communications is a threat to the Constitution itself. We are asking the Court to put a stop to it now," said Bankston.

"What we really need is a minority party that is focused on technology rights (technocrats? I know it's already used, but who could resist?)."Why in the world just technology rights? Are you insane? You already have the Libertarian party, which is getting bigger and bigger all the time, and defends all freedom at any cost. Also check out the Free State Project. http://www.freestateproject.org

Not to mention AT&T bought SBC and Cingular (both of which owned other smaller players like Prodigy, Pacific Bell, etc. etc. etc..) Now with the ties to Yahoo and so on, I'd be willing to bet they're larger than BELL ever was.. This whole thing stinks on the news of the recent government approval of AT&T (and others) being able to charge for heavy sites like Google and whatnot.. Sounds like a deal was struck, to me.. but what do you expect with W in office? Of COURSE the corporations and government are scratching one-another's backs...

The NSA's role does not include making policy... they just follow it like all good soldiers do.Depending on who is pulling the strings.... this means they can act to oppress you just as quickly as they can be your savior.
