We have all heard battery life was the suspected culprit. Now you have too.

Totally agree, can't wait to see people whining about stuff after wasting $500. O well I'll just save my money (my $50 SYNC is just fine for me and I can even use MP3 ringtones, haha)

Hence "AT&T has HSDPA but the coverage is poor."Also lots of people complaining about HSPDA draining handset batteries during use (esp 8525 users) and unusually frequent fallback to EDGE even in coverage areas.

Please do not drive and make calls. Regardless of the "dialing method," this is a stupid and dangerous practice.

I bought my 8525 6 months ago and am happy as a clam now with an iPhone. The 8525 keyboard is big and mushy, the WM5 web browser is terrible, e-mail programs don't work right, 3G eats the battery like nothing, the top and sides are littered with buttons that get pressed too often by accident, the screen is not highres, turning the ringer to vibrate mode is a many-step procedure that requires the stylus, and the headphone jack is mini-USB LOL! In contrast, the iPhone is missing some options here and there, and it could use a little more polish on the UI, but it displays e-mail and web pages with accuracy and aplomb, at all resolutions. And as a bonus, it's also an amazing iPod. While two-handed use is virtually required, no stylus is ever needed. The iPhone responds like an extension of self.
