Well, here's the deal. I want a smartphone (Okay the iPhone can do all that.) It is GSM, which is another important feature for me. However, the most important feature is that it can be unlocked.I switch between T-Mobile, and Rogers frequently, depending on where I am going. If I want it bad enough, I would pay the full non-subsidized price for a phone. Telling me who I can use and who I can't use even if I outright purchase the phone is a big turnoff. (And no, jailbreaking the iPhone has proven to not be the "perfect" method of circumventing this carrier tie-in...as any updates remove the jailbreak.)
LOL why the hell anyone would want to put a keyboard on such a beautiful handset? its WONT happen.. trust me. maybe your better with the Pre.. cos apple dont want ya
I doubt they'll add a physical keyboard, but the thought crossed my mind when they announced accessory support. Medical devices are pretty impressive, but the accessory everyone wants is a keyboard. It seems like they'd at least mention that it'll be possible... unless of course the next iPhone comes with a built in keyboard! Nah. They're just so smug they'd never even admit people want it. Surely Belkin will make one though. I'd be more than willing to add a bulky case to my iPhone if it offered a slide out qwerty keyboard, extra battery, NES controls and landscape stereo speakers!
I'll go out on a limb and say it will not feature a slide out keyboard, a slide out keyboard will ruin the aesthetics of the device completely, plus the iphone/ipod touch on screen keyboard is perfectly usable already.
My older brother who lives in a small beach town in Florida wants an iPhone, but 3G coverage ends about 45 miles west. I told him not to bother getting an iPhone until they bring 3G to his town. Told him I had the 2G iPhone and many apps just don't even work on EDGE. 3G Is almost a requirements for the iPhone. I mean, it takes 2-3 minutes for it to send a simple text only email on EDGE.
Yeah, and because you had a bad experience, everyone else will too right? Everyone I know who has U-Verse loves the thing. Installation was a pain, but it's a new service, and the techs are still getting into the swing of how to set it up.
Hint to ATT. Do not use this as opportunity to raise rates. iPhone has viable competition now, and many wanting a new iPhone still are using Edge phone, because 3g DID raise rates.

What are the chances that they will allow for current 3G users to trade up to the new one at the intro price?
