melissatogo.blogspot.com— An ATM at a movie theater apparently runs Windows, and this girl opens up everyone's favorite app: MS Paint! Hilarity ensues.

Funny story? Yeah. But at the same time I have to wonder if people realize "hacking" an ATM, even just something like this, is against the law and is a pretty good way to get into some serious trouble...Banks don't take stuff lightly, and neither do the police whenever they hear the word "hacking". I think just earlier there was a story on Digg about a guy being arrested and having his computer confiscated for sitting outside a library after-hours using their WiFi. This is unquestionably something they'd consider more serious.Call me paranoid, but would you risk it if you could end up in jail? Now if it was a TICKETING machine, that's kinda another story.
This is true.People, always remember:ATMs have cameras, so if you're going to goatse or Mewify a misconfigured one, make sure to wear your George Bush mask!
"ATM's used to use custom designed and manufactured hardware. They were functional, adequate, and dependable."I agree. This is very scary for customers, since private data may be compromised. I may go into a career in embedded systems but I guess banks don't need them anymore(?)..
