Good info on the new gear, cheers. Now I've gotta go have a rethink about my current upgrade as I was thinkin of a LGA775 ddr3 board, but maybe I'll stick with ddr2, a cheaper quad core wound up tightly and a gtx280 until the i7's get cheaper. Whats the go with running a 680i board with an intel 8400 cpu? I've tried an 8500 on my 680i and it refused to boot?

Hold your horses! Asus has already announced a version 2 board, Asus P6T Deluxe V2. How old is V1, 2 months old??? It halted my purchase. You can't find the V2 anywhere, yet. V2 has also dropped SAS in V2 -- some improvement!
