Employee compensation equals regular salary and wages plus any benefits paid to ALL employees. That would include bank tellers, secretaries, etc. The AP article refers to 'top executives'.
So I suppose $108 billion (back in October 28th...who knows what that is now) of taxpayer dollars going to employees of these companies makes it all the better? This is corporate welfare at its most obvious and you're trying to separate between who gets what? WHO CARES?!?!?! My money went to people just for the fact that they were employed by these companies!! Do I get a check from anyone just because I'm working for a certain retail store?? Heck no! This is as dumb as farm subsidies where farmers get money just because they're farmers. Now the banking industry enjoys this luxury. Who's next??
Maybe you missed the fact that obama voted for the giveaway of tax dollars with no oversight. This is his fault as much or more than anyone else who voted for it or even bush who signed it into law. If you can't see what obama has to do with it you are not paying attention.
You have seen it in the papers and watched it on the news, now is your chance to lead the bailout and save the economy. The Bailout Game puts you in the drivers seat. Admittedly drama, I haven't been there since Marty was the Chef in '98. But it would be soooo cool if some guy was freaked!!!
