We're talking about servers here, not gaming machines. For 4- and 8-processor systems, Opteron has always been superior to Xeon. Woodcrest is competitive with Opteron in 2- and 4-way systems. AMD has really earned a lot of credibility in the server world over the last few years that isn't going away.

I think this is good for consumers in general. If AMD can continue <a class="user" href="http://www.ggno.info/sitemap.htm">http://www.ggno.info/sitemap.htm</a> to make intel sweat, intel will be forced to bring down their prices even further.
