I don't think a lack of diggs is a reflection of my so called "horrible English". I will admit though, his description is more succinct and to the point.
"Anyways, good that, even though this doesn't include sales to Dell or anything, AMD is getting more of the market."When it comes to pc makers like dell, gateway and others, intel has had a major stranglehold on them for years. Also when it comes to notebooks, the selection of good amd notebooks is just not availible in the usa. Here again intel has a major hold on the market."big deal, intel is still better than amd. amd probably just put a bunch of junk on sale in september and some poor people fell for it. all this means is that call centers will likely see an increase in call volume soon."You have that so backwards it's amazing. Intel has been mostly junk for years, they are only still around because they are able to produce the highest volumes of crappy third rate chips. Well that and their insanely aggressive marketing and strongarming of pc builders. With amd's new factory going online, they will finally be able to supply chips in much higher volume. While intel has been busy marketing and threatening pc makers not to carry amd, or risk being cut off. Amd has been busy researching and building, upgrading it's factories. So while amd is becoming better and growing, intel is basically just spewing hot air. It's a fact that intel is the past of computing and not going to play a major part in its future.Intel lovers will slowly come around, I mean how long can they go with systems that threaten to overheat, waste far more power and are slower? At this point it is a fact most newbies are intel based and use prebuilt systems from dell and other pc makers.Geeks with homebuilt systems tend to use higher quality products like amd's.Also with amd you can get real dual core products, while intel only provides lame quick hackjob products which consume more power and produce more heat, while not producing nearly as good performance. Intel was caught completely off guard, when amd released it's dual core products. While amd's dual core were designed to be dual core from the start. Intel's hacked dual core chips were not intended to be dual core. In fact they were not that great as single core chips either.
bitz, you dont know what you are talking about. Intel has not been just doing marketing and not building its infrastructure. woohoo, amd finally has a 300mm fab.. at 90nm nonetheless. Intel has opened several 300mm fabs in the last couple years and is continuing to build. Intel already has several 65nm fabs, better than amd's 90nm. Intel now has something like 6 300mm fabs (d1c, d1d, fab24, fab11x, fab17 (i think), fab21 coming soon too), and i'll bet money Intel's cleanroom size in each of the fabs are alot larger than amd's. dont be voting for the little guy, intel's largest campuses are in the USA (oregon, new mexico, arizona), employing thousands of Americas. amd builds thier first 300mm outside of the us. we need more companies to build in the US like intel. intel only has a couple fabs outside of the US (Isreal, Ireland). intel is better. the world only needs amd so that the chip buisness has some competition and to give the lower income folks the chance to have a lower end computer.

its about time that some people have realized that you can get the power that you are looking for, for 100$ less by switching to AMD.
