turboajax.com— A single-page solution for exploring and editing databases from a browser. Edit data just like you would in a desktop application, without submit buttons or page refreshes.

Downloaded it.Installed it.Tried it.I have a headline of my own:NEW TOOL THAT DOES HALF OF WHAT OUR OLD TOOL DOES!!! COOL BECAUSE IT USES AJAX!!!Go along people. Nothing interesting to see here.
At this early stage it seems to be more proof of concept than phpMyAdmin competitor. It will need db copying, export, optimization, statistics, etc. to be anywhere close. Version 1 should be interesting if it has such features.Another must is confirmation messages.phpMyAdmin: You are about to DESTROY a complete database.Me: Oh yeah. Thanks PMA, saved my ass again!
1. Not even close to enough features to be called an "alternative".2. Not open source.3. Whats the point of ajax (in this case), so the page doesn't have to refresh? C'mon, phpmyadmin functions admirably already. No digg.
Very nice, but certainly doesn't have enough features that phpMyAdmin has to make it worthy to switch. But MOST definitely worthy of a digg! AJAX + PHP == auto-digg forever! Those two go better than any other language out there, IMHO!
On some simple examples:"<a class="user" href="http://archive.dojotoolkit.org/nightly/tests/fx/test_fx.html">http://archive.dojotoolkit.org/nightly/tests/fx/test_fx.html"</a>I can watch my browser process eat up 25% of my cpu on my pentium mobile 1.6,This reminds me about all the talks that were going on in 1996 about how javascript would never survive because it's an interpretted language which makes it a resource hog. It's all becoming clear now, but the opposite happened. It's popular. Now Grandma really DOES need the latest speed computer to check her web based email now.
I might also suggest a free, open source web based MySql Manager. It?s called AeroSQL.Homepage: <a class="user" href="http://www.burlaca.com/aerosql/">http://www.burlaca.com/aerosql/</a>There is a demo, video and screenshots.AeroSQL is a free web based tool for managing MySql servers written in PHP. The key feature of the product is an intuitive management of the database content. The result of SELECTs is displayed in a grid as in traditional desktop applications.

I get a blank white page when trying to view the live demo in safari, anyone else?

Live Demo returns a blank page in Opera 8.5, similar to what enjayenel is experiencing.Sounds pretty cool, though!

Wow, this looks very promising, but as someone said, it needs more work before it can be considered a replacement to PMA.

You might have a look at <a class="user" href="http://actionscript.com/urlForwarder.asp?RdtUrl=http://www.tufat.com/script.php?id_num=7.">http://actionscript.com/urlForwarder.asp?RdtUrl=ht ...</a>It's not AJAX, but it's a Flash-ified version of phpMyAdmin, which uses PHP underneath. Very responsive, but I've not tested it thoroughly.
