nydailynews.com — Brooklyn prosecutors on Monday cleared ACORN of criminal wrongdoing after a four-month probe that began when undercover Republican "conservative" activists filmed workers giving what appeared to be illegal advice on how to hide money.

Branding any opinion that opposes your own as an agenda seems to be working well for you.

So what, is Acorn gonna start getting tax money again?

This is the worst troll I've ever come across.

It's not like the Republican VP nominee and multiple republican candidates spoke at their convention or anything.

What an amazing outpouring if I told you so. Of course they edited the video to look bad for acorn, but that doesn't mean they just made this stuff up. Have any of you actually watched the tapes or listened to the (unedited) audio? Here's a good overview:http://patterico.com/2010/03/01/debunking-some-eme ...

@superkendall:What an absolute marvelous display of the ancient neanderthal winding ritual of "righty tighty".

I was a poll worker in Florida, Broward county, 2003-2005. I was a VST (voter service tech), would initialize, calibrate and troubleshoot during election day, then download, print, post and forward summarized results for my precinct when the polls closed. Broward County uses iVotronics, made by ES&S. I don't know if the Diebold machines are more or less secure/ reliable. However, if you look on the county website, voters are now offered the option of submitting a paper ballot. Not sure if it will be hand-counted, or scanned into an electronic reader. But @serinus is correct that the vote can be rigged whether by hand counting or machine. Well thought out procedures and integrity, without pressure from external influences, is vital for poll worker and voter. Access to vote given to all who are eligible is the other component of an honest election. And you'd be blown away by the voter turnout: lots of apathy. A presidential primary MIGHT get a 50%+ turnout, but only 20 - 40% of registered voters turned out for most elections.

That's because it's a somplete stretch to find something to complain about. Come back when you have something at least politicaly relevant to talk about.

Yes he was the first Vietnam War veteran elected to the House of Representatives. Unlike 99% of the Republican politicians who are all super-patriotic and gung ho when it comes to talking war and starting them, he actually went.
