rawstory.com — Four U.S. Senators are pursuing legislation they believe would fix the "mistake" President Obama made with the man who allegedly failed to blow up a Christmas Day flight into Detroit. That "mistake" was treating him like a serious criminal, tossing him in jail and planning a trial.

@mishabear has the ACLU done anything to help the people of New Orleans that had their firearm illegally seized? Have they posted a press release saying it was bad?

OK, cool, but don't forget about the 2nd Amendment like everyone else tries to do. Oh, and the 10th for that matter. If you want to make the Constitution universally applicable to all US citizens in every single case, you will find no objections from me.

rhoonah As usual, a right leaning argument that Brown's election equates to a referendum on so many issues & the Democrats positions, as well as actions... So overly simplistic, & far from reality, but perfectly aligned with disinfo GOP talking points. I'm not going to keep trying to explain everything, but instead ask you, sincerely to look a bit deeper, like what are Brown's positions? Are they new positions for a Republican? Or maybe just a good campaign, people are frustrated & ignorant, while the Democrats did a crappy job in that campaign because they thought they could keep the seat no matter what? As an ex-Republican, I really wish Republican leaning voters would judge their reps based on on their policy positions at the very least, not to mention how their party actually functions, past & present before they vote. But, I also know that Republicans are often raised as such, so it doesn't matter. Unfortunately, historically & realistically that simple hope of issue position critical thinking seems to be too much to ask for from most Republican voters. I truly weep for the future....

That's because "conservatives" don't believe in the Constitution anymore... they all salivate over the "unitary executive" office, and dream of powers well beyond the Hugo Chavez they often rail against.

And you wouldn't cry out that repealing the Patriot Act is an act of "surrender"?I doubt it..
