I have no interest whatsoever in a DVR that does not let me fast forward or rewind through recorded television shows and I will never, EVER support a cable company or DVR service that allows that kind of restriction.

60 minutes of TV time = 44 minutes of actual show - my time is worth $0.99 (or less) for getting back 15 minutes of my life and the ability to time-shift

Whats wrong WITH capital letters? It REALLY HELPS to emphasize random words and IF YOU ARE lucky it might push SOME LAME story to the front page. Personally I like using them with multiple punctuation marks better... OMG - PONIES!!!!!!

You're joking, right? With all the product placements and banner ads that they put for other shows on the bottom of the screen nowdays, even the shows themselves feel like commercials.

DVD user operation prohibitions didn't need a law, just a contract and an "effective access control mechanism".Not that I care; I stopped watching TV years ago.

So I called my cable company and complained about the outrageous amount of money they are bending me over for each month. They told me that the reason it costs so much is that the networks keep increasing the price of the shows that they deliver. So, what can learn from this statement? It's a simple equation really; the actors/actresses on the most popular shows stick it to the producers of those shows and the cost is passed on to us. Happy as Hindu cows we pay our cable bill and bitch about it for a day or two to our coworkers. For example, and if memory serves, I recall the cast members of the wildly popular show "Friends" on NBC were paid an incredible $1,000,000 per episode each during the last season. I stopped watching the show after the 2nd episode of the first season. I digress...ABC has no choice but to come up with creative ways for them to force feed us Viagra, Hot Pockets, and Sweep and Mop commercials so that they can, in turn, pay the ransom these actors/actresses are demanding. When do we reach the point that we the people simply tune out and send a clear message to Hollywood that we are tired of subsidizing their s**t?
