abcnews.go.com — "The Messiah," which some consider as Iran's answer to Mel Gibson's "Passion of the Christ," won an award at Rome's Religion Today Film Festival, for generating interfaith dialogue. The movie will be adapted into a television series, shown on Iranian TV later this year.

Christianity and Islam are the major monotheistic religious players of the world. There needs to be religious discussion without feathers getting ruffled. Look at history and you'll know, when religious intolerance and persecution rule the day, we all lose.

s**t, when Moustapha Akkad, a Muslim, was making the film "The Message", he got death threats for daring to make a movie about Muhammed. Ironically he was killed by a suicide bomber in Jordan 2 years back. And people say jihadist terrorism is fictitious...

Muslims would not make a disgusting cartoon about Jesus, because they consider Jesus as one of their prophets. But it is perfectly true that Muslims have put out death threats on people who they perceive to have insulted Muhammad. Christians don't put out death threats on people who insult Jesus. The point here is the DEATH THREATS.

What do you mean by "proof"? I hope nothing as idiotic as Spoomeister, i.e. pictures because if that is the case, we need not bother to discourse.

That's a description of the risen Christ, not what Christ looked like on earth. We don't know what He looked like on earth, nor does it matter. Who cares what his racial features were. He's the Savior of those who turn to Him... that's all that matters. People are arguing about all kinds of garbage herein, when only one thing actually matters. Jesus posed that question Himself when he said, "Who do you say I am?" How we answer that question determines our eternal destiny.

That's the point of the Chesterton quote. Most people agree he existed, but what kind of 'good man' with 'good ideas' says crazy things about being the son of God? It doesn't make sense. And that is a fascinating paradox that should not be ignored.

I don't quite get people comparing a movie depicting the life of a historical figure (in their own perspective), WITHOUT ANY NEGATIVE UNDERTONES WHATSOEVER, to an incredibly offensive cartoon of another faith's Prophet. As a Dane ("Danish person" for the ones among you who aren't too sharp), I know too well the blatant racism that takes place in Denmark. I guess the majority of you don't know about that though... that cartoon was a blatant anti-immigrant attack; something the danes have been doing to all their minorities in some shape or form.Surely a film simply depicting the life of Jesus isn't the same. Some of your oppinions are very ill-informed and quite laughable from the viewpoint of someone who has made it past 4th grade. Seriously, be objective rather and moronic. Pathetic...*expecting the offended people to look through my comment and point out typos and grammatical errors, as that always seems to the line of defence taken by these ignorant f**k-wits... pardon my English*.
