Nope. I agree that bombs can't tell the difference between military and civilian targets.I'n no fan of Paul Harvey but he has been speaking out against the war on an almost daily basis for years now. Just so you know.

@DigitalOmnivoreThe facts that he noted may all be true, but he is sick for excusing our 'terrorism' tactics with such callousness. What we as a nation has done in the past has indeed gotten us where we are today. That does not mean that it was right, nor does it mean that we should avoid EVER repeat the worst of those mistakes. You, and he, seem to think that our history is an excuse for continued violent actions; I believe that our history is provides an opportunity to learn from our successes and our mistakes so that our future will have more triumphs and less failures. It amuses me that you seem to be so clearly blind to the ugliness of the death that WE have caused in Iraq. It is callous of us to [rightly] become a nation in mourning over the sensles deaths of 32 people in our own country but at the same time to excuse a the hundred daily sensles deaths in Iraq that would not be occurring right now if it was not for this disaster of an occupation.

He may have not been politically correct, but he is right. People are taking it out of context, I think. He's basically saying that America has turned into a bunch of panty-waisted sissies, and he's right. The comments here on Diggs are at least not as "oh, poor, pitiful Afghans..." as on the ThinkProgress site, but still. I said it there and I'll say it here: People act like we had a right to this land and country–we didn’t. We have it now, though. That is how the world works. If we want to keep our precious country, your precious toes are going to have to get out of the way or deal with the consequences. At the rate this is going, I would not really be surprised to see the fall of America within my lifetime (I’m 29, BTW). You want to live in this country and keep what you have? Buck up. You don’t care about America and want to make sure everyone else in the world is so well taken care of (especially when they don’t give a crap about us), go live with them!(Thank goodness for copy and paste!)No one likes the thought of women, children, and other innocents getting killed, but this is war. This is what happens in war. It's tough, brutal, and bloody. Just be thankful it's there and not here!

if you've been there you'd know women and children are used as combatants all the time. diggers are ignorant of what really goes on in a war. sometimes you have to kill what most people may consider children but when they tote an AK-47 and are strapped with explosives they have to killed. come down from your high horses and step into reality kids here play with toy guns and play video games, it's for real over there. treat one of those so called children like we treat our kids and you'll come home with a flag wrapped over you. i've seen it it's not a pretty site.
