aplawrence.com— These questions are intended to test your knowledge, but they are also intended to help you learn more about Linux by examples and just by making you aware of things you might not have known about.

I'll add a comment :-)I'm the author of those tests. The first thing I want you to understand is that these were first written in RH9 days, so things have changed quite a bit and some questions have different answers or are irrelevant now. However: there are comments attached to each answer where changes and new information can be discussed.Secondly: some of the stuff isn't Linux specific: it's hardware or networking really. Live with it: I developed these to help me have conversations with job applicants.Thirdly: some questions are TOO specific. Again, the comments often add to the conversation. But sheesh: these are FREE. I've seen far worse that you have to pay for, and if every person who sent me email complaining about whatever they didn't like had instead added a comment (as so many HAVE done and thanks) to the specific question or questions they thought were so lame, the next guy to come along would be much happier.
