rawstory.com — The Republican chairman of the Bush 9/11 Commission declared Sunday that the would-be-terrorist who tried to blow up a plane en route to Detroit "probably did us a favor."The GOP chairman's quote raised eyebrows; by his logic, the Sept. 11, 2001 attackers may also have "done us a favor" by drawing US attention to extremism in Afghanistan.

It's not different at all. It's the same thing. The republican is saying the bomber did them a favor by exposing a weakness. Rahm Emmanuel is saying that without a crisis, you can't push the agenda before the crisis occurred. In fact, that's exactly what Rahm said.So you're right, they're not the same thing. Rahm's is much worse. Thank you.

What the f**k kind of response is that to terrorism. I'm so glad they attacked us so we are aware they want to attack us? so we will attack them back!!Politics makes people way more violent than video games.

I'm glad he FAILED. By trying to blow up a plane and FAILING, he did us s favor. For whatever it's worth, the underpants bomber exposed the fact that the TSA is a useless waste of time and money.
