sfgate.com — Vice President Dick Cheney, lashing out at Democrats for the first time since the felony conviction of Lewis "Scooter" Libby, his former top deputy, resumed his controversial claims Monday that the war in Iraq is the central front in the worldwide U.S. response to the Sept. 11 attacks.

It's not. Perhaps it's time for some demonstrations that mirror some Latin American countries?

Even if Iraq did have the smallest tie to Bin L. it's still no reason to go to war. Don't forget us, the U.S. have major ties to Bin Laden from C.I.A. training to us funding and arming him and his army...Remember? So if you want to say that some very limited tie you can pull up ( Bin Laden bought sand from Iraq to build a castle or something ) then I guess you also give any other country a reason to go to war with us.

gradient01You should know this by now and the fact that you dont should make you realise that the MSM has failed you and are nothing but propaganda for the administation. Here is a link that has that will take you to about 30 links to government reports. Any thing you have a question about or if you want more links or whatever just ask.http://www.nswbc.org/Op%20Ed/Op-ed-Part1-Nov15-06.htmSo again I ask you all why are we giving a free pass to the Saudis who are supplying money and weaponry to those doing the most killing of Americans and Why did we invade Iraq again? Please reply with an answer after you are done using the link I gave you. According to U.S. intelligence reports the Saudi government has an active role as a player in the nuclear black-market.Now that the CSS-2 missiles are nearing the end of their lifecycle, the Saudi regime may choose to replace them. During a March 11, 1997 interview with Defense News, Saudi military chief of staff, Lt Gen. Saleh Mohaya stated [referring to the Saudi’s CSS-2 ballistic missile inventory], “The [Saudi Arabian] oil kingdom is now considering replacing or refurbishing the desert missile force.”Early in 2006, the German periodical Cicero reported that satellite imagery obtained by Germany’s secret service indicated that Saudi Arabia has set up in Al-Sulaiyil, south of Riyadh, a new secret underground city and dozens of underground silos for missiles. TPMcafe has also picked up on this itemAccording to some Western security services, long-range Ghauri-type missiles of Pakistani-origin are housed inside the silos. The Ghauri missile has a range of 1,500 kilometers, while the CSS-2.missile has a longer 2500km range. The East Wind’s modified range/payload (5) of 2,500 km/2,000 kg (conventional load) brings many countries within striking range, including Israel, the former Soviet Union, and Iran, though the missiles are said to be targeted on Tehran and other Iranian population centers, rather than Israel. It seems that Saudi Arabia has replaced its aging Chinese missiles with North Korean/Pakistani “Ghauri” missiles, albeit with 1000km less range, they have essentially modernized their missile fleet.Saudi’s have an active role as a player in the nuclear black-market. According to Mohammed Khilewi, first secretary at the Saudi mission to the United Nations until July 1994, the Saudis have sought a bomb since 1975; they sought to buy nuclear reactors from China, supported Pakistan’s nuclear program, and contributed $5 billion to Iraq’s nuclear weapons program between 1985 and 1990. While the U.S. government vocally opposes the development or procurement of ballistic missiles by non-allies, it has been very quiet in Saudi Arabia’s case, considering the fact that it possesses the longest-range ballistic missiles of any developing country. The report by FAS establishes that despite the show of U.S. support demonstrated by this astounding quantity of arms sales, Saudi Arabia’s human rights record is extremely poor; see the U.S. State Department’s 2000 Human Rights Report. Saudi Arabia’s position as a strategic Gulf ally has blinded U.S. officials into approving a level and quality of arms exports that should never have been allowed to a non-democratic country with such a poor human rights record.U.S. intelligence reports and the U.S. Iraq Study Group report as well as Iraqi intelligence reports said Saudis are funding Sunni Arab insurgents and the money is used to buy weapons, including Strelas, Russian shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles. The Saudi funded Sunni insurgency has caused 90% of the American casualties and has cost the U.S. Taxpayers over 98% of total costs do to damages/destruction of military equipment that are in the billions. Second place is the normal wear and tear + desert sand. Third place is the Shiite insurgents. So again I ask you all why are we giving a free pass to the Saudis who are supplying money and weaponry to those doing the most killing of Americans and Why did we invade Iraq again?

@gradient01 OK, I'll give you proof although having read your previous posts and others I know you will simply attack the source, the content, or simply dismiss it as falshood, as is the conservative method that I have witnessed in my dealings with other conservatives like you. Here is evidence of Cheney secret business dealings with Hussein, contrary to his own policies at Halliburton. He lied about the whole thing and cannot even manage to follow his own policies and you think he'll abide by congressional laws?http://www.counterpunch.org/leopold03202003.html. Cheney administered accounting changes amounting to fraud to cover huge losses suffered under his leadership at Halliburton.http://foi.missouri.edu/usenergypolicies/undercheney.htmlHere's some more proof about Cheney's wonderful leadership and shenanigans.http://www.democraticunderground.com/cgi-bin/duforum/duboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=7547&forum=DCForumID38Proof that Cheney used his position as Secretary of State to funnel contracts to Halliburton.http://www.halliburtonwatch.org/about_hal/chronology.htmlHere's proof that Cheney helped Hussein subvert the oil for food program.http://www.commondreams.org/views04/1012-33.htmProof of Cheney using his position as Vice President to funnel contracts to Halliburton.http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-hamburger14oct14-04,0,383106.storyMore proof of Cheney using his position to aid Halliburton.http://www.corpwatch.org/article.php?list=type&type=15Here's Halliburton's financials from prior to the war. A stock price of $10.06 per share. Currently Halliburton stock is worth $31.83, so it would appear that war has been very good to Halliburton, and Mr. Cheney, as he owns over 400,000 shares.http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2002/01/20/BU125026.DTLThis shows that Cheney remains close to Halliburton, vis a vis his stock options. Say all you want about Cheney donating, but he's only donating all "future profits" and not the actual value of his options. So he'll get a tidy little tax write-off and millions of dollars when he cashes in his options. He has an incredible interest in maintaining the value of Halliburton stocks, regardless of what you want to think about his so called "blind trust." He knows he has these options, and he knows what the monetary value is and the importance of keeping the price high.http://consortiumnews.com/2000/082000a2.htmlHere's some more proof about Halliburton profiting through Cheney being Vice President, and continuing to draw a salary.http://www.visioncircle.org/archive/004855.htmlSo here is proof, all of the articles in tact and I have not removed any quotes from them. Now, it's clear Cheney continues to get paid from Halliburton, so how can you say he takes no profit from Halliburton? Making money form Halliburton stock does not make him a pawn, but it certainly brings into questions his activities as VP and how Halliburton has profited from these wars. These article demonstrate systematic lying on the part of Cheney as the CEO of Halliburton, Secretary of State, and VP, if you fail to see this, well, what can I say?As for his 75% donation, show me proof. All I see is a conservative spouting numbers without proof offered to back him up. Shoot a friend in the face and chest while not having the proper hunting permit and tell me how the police react.

@h00paj00f**k you too, mindless conservative lapdog. Try thinking for yourself, oh, that's right, they tell how, what, and when to think. If ignorance is bliss, you must be in perpetual rapture.

Richard Perle and Douglas Fieth (among others) wrote this policy paper for then Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Neyatanu http://www.iasps.org/strat1.htm "A Clean Break a New Strategy for Securing the Realm". This was written in 1998 that calls for "rolling back Syria", "removing Sadam from power", and "forging a closer relationship with the U.S." When 911 happened these pro-Israel neocons exploited people's anger not to destroy Al Queda and kill Bin Laden but to advance Isreal's interests.Douglas Fieth was put in charge of the Office of Special Plans, the office that was responsible for most of the "intelligence" about Sadam Hussien having WMD's. Larry Franklin who worked for Fieth is sitting in prison now for passing classified information about Iran to AIPAC. The two top officials at AIPAC Kieth Wiesman and Steve Rosen are currently on trial now for espionage. A lot of people say this classified information must have come from someone higher than Franklin's paygrade (ie Fieth).
