I think they should put more effort into sorting out the health care for the indigenous peoples and sort out the problem with drought.I'm not saying halt all broadband tech progress, i think that the Australian gov. needs to focus their attention on more pressing matters such as equal health care and a stable future of water avaliability.

@zzapUnless you live in one of two electorates it's physically impossible for you to vote for Rudd or Howard. However, assuming that the OP was referring to Labor or Liberal then it is still possible to vote without voting for the two major parties. Apart from the Greens or the Democrats there will be numerous independents to choose from in both houses and if you don't want to vote or don't want your preferences to go to either of the main parties you could simply spoil your ballot paper.Compulsory voting doesn't mean that it's compulsory to vite for the status quo.
@nantonzoryes, take warning all, TELSTRA BIGPOND IS THE WORST COMPANY YOU WILL EVER DEAL WITHthey blatantly gave me false information and subsequently sent me a bill for $1,113 for ONE MONTH CABLE INTERNET USAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!6 months later this is now with the ombudsman, even though they have screwed up my credit rating not once, NOT ONCE did they acknowledge any of my complaints.STAY AWAY FROM TELSTRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!TPG rocks
