So, if you change the ticket and you don't show up when THEIR records say that you're suppose to, imagine what will happen to you when you DO show up and they find out that you've changed your ticket?People can end up in jail over advises like this.
I believe he was suggesting you petition the court for a different trial date (when the ticketing officer is less likely to show up), not physically change the date written on your ticket without contacting the court...

I have it on good authority that cops don't care what stickers you have on your car. They're just stickers, not "get out of a ticket" cards.
