California: Earthquakes + Water shortages + Wildfires + Real estate collapse + Riots + + Illegal Immigration + Gangs + High taxes + Insolvency + Energy Crisis + Liberal AND Conservative Ass-hattery = WIN!People who live in Michigan and Minnesota will be laughing at Californians when they finally run out of water. I hear they are starting to recycle their poo-water directly into drinking water now. Good luck with that.
e2superman:well im not saying americans havent ever displayed racist sentiments toward asians. but those sentiments tend to be tied to words like "gook" or "chink". "yellow". "slant eyes". "japs" even. etc.what i was looking for was valid reason why "oriental", specifically, is on a level anywhere close to "negro", with regard to being tied to racism.i think the difference between oriental and asian is more along the lines of the difference between "black" and "african american"....some people take one (or the other) as offensive but as a whole they're both pretty mild compared to the alternatives.but we keep going back and forth only to say the same thing: yes, its retarded to use "oriental" if you know any better. my argument is that the objections to it are obscure enough that many people are honestly ignorant of the fact that there are people who take offense to it.
Pretty much everything is ridiculously expensive in California. Even with the prices going down, property in California is still extremely expensive. I'm sure a lot of the property is still out of budget for the majority of people.Who knows though, maybe it might get to a point where property in California becomes affordable...No matter what happens, you would think that since agents get bigger commissions with these kinds of properties that they would be more active in marketing them. I mean, spend an hour or two to make a real estate video and publish on sites like http://www.realeflix.com For the commission, I think doing a little extra marketing would be worth it in the long run.
As a resident of the Inland Empire of San Bernardino County in Southern California, I have seen the trend in the last 30 years of expansion and contraction in my area. Too many people wanting to live in California with marginal incomes obtaining financing that perhaps they were not able to deal with resulting in entire cities bottoming out every so often. As a resident of the Inland Empire of San Bernardino County in Southern California, I have seen the trend in the last 30 years of expansion and contraction in my area. When police there stop getting STARTING salaries at $97k to $100k per year, and transit sanitation workers stop making $100k with overtime.
