I'd have to disagree with the black friday comment. I've gotten some good deals, like a 50" rear projection hdtv for $800, game boy micro for $35. Often, if I'm shopping for electronics, I'll wait until black friday. I can generally get things 30-40% cheaper.Just know what you're doing and don't get caught up in the hype.

My high school had a unit that covered these topics, as well as how to use a checking account and the different ways you can endorse a check. And it even covers how credit card companies make money, by hoping you don't pay it over every month before the grace period. This was like 12 years ago, I assumed all schools covered at least some of those things.

they call it common sense 101 and life learning 302. sure, some people need to learn how to do it better, but its just stupid for anyone to assume that a credit card is the magic wand to fix your problems.my girlfriend's sister learned this the hard way. she's 18, with $12,000 in debt. it's kind of sad, to be honest :/

You are correct sir. A high school english teacher. Not my own. Obviously she doesn't proofread my posts.

At first I thought the title said "8 Ways to Take Control of Your fiancee in 2008". Silly me...
