Orange Juice is only healthy in moderation. It is indeed rich in vitamin C. Most companies even add extra vit. C (= ascorbic acid) to enhance shelf life.Ascorbic acid corrodes your teeth.One drink contains almost as many calories as a coke.(Coke = 139kcal / Can, Orange Juice = 135 kcal / Can)

not to mention, you stomach has a ph of 2 or higher (lower? closer to 1, anyways). So pop is already less acidic than the stomach it is going into.It's probably still a good idea to cut back on the soda, but the pH thing is a stupid reason

Wow, I'm 15 and I haven't broken any bones and I drink Vault every day (1-2 cans). Also I'm slightly underweight, and perfectly healthy.A statistic?

No, you're just a smart ass kid who thinks he knows what he's talking about. Kids your age typically don't gain a lot of weight on average due to a faster metabolism due to being young. Of course, this isn't the case for all kids. I used to drink a lot of soda every day when I was your age too and I wasn't fat either. People on average tend to gain more weight as they get older.

Believe it or not, once you start drinking water regularly and accept the fact that it's a heck of a lot more healthier for you, you don't mind the lack of flavor, in fact you stopped noticing it and simple acknowledge that you are quenching your thirst. Seriously, start off with small sips. Have a glass/bottle of water beside you as you drink your soda beverage. After each gulp/sip of soda, take sip of water and swish it around your mouth. This will help you gradually get used to drinking water.

i absolutely agree with you. i suggest squeezing a bit of lemon juice for people who wants to have a bit of flavor in their water.

I myself have experienced this. I used to drink 6-8 sodas a day. Since using my tea and nutrtional supplements i have actually knocked that down to about 10 in the last four weeks combined. I have not had the lower back aches that i have had and my energy level is through the roof. Good post.

acid and sugar is truly a bad combination for our health. if you really can't live without it, try healthier alternatives like natural fruit juices with little or no sugar at all . although there's still acid, it comes from in the form of VitC.
