The reason why Microsoft is offering "downgrades" for Vista is because it is a terrible OS. I honestly think Linux has a better shot at getting into corporations than Vista. I'll tell you the two reasons why the Mac doesn't win me. It's software and performance per dollar.. There's a lot of software for Windows that just doesn't exist for the Mac. Tons of utilities and useful applications which aren't necessarily mainstream, but I wouldn't live without. The second reason is it's fast. For an experienced person like me, I can make Windows run circles around the mac in terms of performance, especially when you consider the fact that I can build a machine for half the price with better parts. In fact, I was going to buy a macbook when I saw a digg article that had the exact same hardware as a macbook pro from dell for half the price. I just couldn't buy a macbook when I could literally buy TWO laptops with the same specs for the same price.
Thank you. You have no idea how long I've been waiting for someone to post something like this. Am I the only one who sees a conflict of interest when you have the same company making both hardware and software.

Yes, because only a real man prefers an OS interface designed like an overpriced toaster oven.

An OS is just a gateway to Firefox.

I don't worry about that anyways. Must be a mac user thing...

I don't see what the big deal is, I've have great experiences with both AMD and Intel processors.
